XMUM Welcomes New Students with Full Resumption of Physical ClassesXMUM welcomes over 1,200 new students for September 2022 academic session, with all classes resuming physical mode. Due to Covid-19, the campus has been closed from early 2020 until April 2022 and all teaching and learning activities had been moved online.
The Stellar Prize Returns to XMUM Campus to Showcase the Achievements of Communication Students
The fifth Stellar Prize (TSP) ceremony resumed physically after two years, with new open categories along with 19 other awards to celebrate the talents of Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) students on 23 December 2022.An annual award ceremony organized by XMUM Advertising and Journalism Student Councils, the event aims to showcase the excellence and achievements of communication students in the areas of design, writing and publishing, photography, and videography.
XMUM Holds its Fourth Convocation Ceremony for the Graduating Class of 2022
Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) held its Fourth Convocation Ceremony in 4 sessions on 17 and 18 December 2022 for its graduating class of 2022. More than 2,500 graduands, their family members and friends, university staff, and distinguished guests attended the event during the weekend.
Dr. Ong Wee Jun Named Highly Cited Researcher 2022 by Clarivate
Recently, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ong Wee Jun, the Assistant Dean of School of Energy and Chemical Engineering and Director of Center of Excellence for NaNo Energy & Catalysis Technology (CONNECT), Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM), was named Highly Cited Researchers 2022 (Cross-field Category) by Clarivate.
NESE Postgraduate Student Wins First Prize at IChemE Food and Drink SIG (Malaysia Chapter) Poster Competition
The Research and Postgraduate Centre congratulates Chew Zhi Ling, a master’s student from the New Energy Science and Engineering programme, on winning the 1st Prize at the IChemE Malaysia Food & Drink Special Interest Group (SIG) poster competition with a cash prize of RM 650. Chew Zhi Ling is working on food waste valorization under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Kua Yin Leng from XMUM School of Energy and Chemical Engineering.
