IEEE XMUM Hosts IBM Z Connection Day
On 15 May 2026, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) XMUM Student Branch successfully organized the IBM Z Career Connection Day. The event brought together students from the Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Science and Technology, Data Science, and Cybersecurity programmes to gain exposure to enterprise computing technologies, IBM Z systems, and career opportunities within the technology industry.

Among all the graduates of Department of English Language and Literature, Cheok Chuan Sin stands out as a distinguished figure. Not only did he complete his undergraduate studies with Distinction as an Outstanding Graduate, but he also served as President of the English Department Student Union during his time on campus and independently developed a card-based teaching methodology.

From 18 to 19 April 2026, the China-ASEAN Conference on Translation, Interpreting and Communication was held at Xiamen University Malaysia. The conference brought together scholars from over 20 renowned universities and institutions across China and ASEAN countries to address topics on translation and communication.
