The School of Traditional Chinese Medicine at Xiamen University Malaysia, as a model of the internationalisation of TCM education, integrates with the Department of TCM at the main campus to jointly promote the internalisation of TCM disciplines. It is dedicated to cultivating future leaders with high professional ethics, solid theoretical foundations, exceptional clinical skills, outstanding research capabilities, and a broad international perspective.

Currently, the TCM discipline boasts an excellent faculty team, including one National (China) Young Qihuang Scholar, four National (China) Outstanding TCM Talents, and one staff has been listed in the World’s top 2% scientists, compiled by Stanford University. The school has established the TCM centre, TCM herbal processing lab, Chinese herbal garden, and over 30 teaching and clinical internship bases, featuring distinct TCM characteristics and outstanding teaching environments. The development of the discipline focuses on research areas such as TCM studies in Fujian and Taiwan, TCM tongue diagnosis, TCM dampness diseases, TCM liver diseases, and global health.
