A graduate of Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM), Lai Yuxian joined Cornell University to pursue his Master's degree in Public Administration in the Autumn of 2022, specializing in economic and financial policy.

Students from Kasetsart University Taste Chinese Culture at XMUM
Xiamen University Malaysia Mobility Programme with Kasetsart University was successfully carried out from 26 February to 18 March 2023.The programme aims to offer students the opportunity to learn about Chinese culture, enriching their knowledge in Southeast Asian Studies. Special courses about Malaysia were also given to expose them to the country's diverse culture.

XMUM Signs MOA with BioLoop Sdn Bhd on Black Soldier Fly Larvae (BSFL) Fractionation
With the aim of maximizing the yield and quality of black soldier fly larvae (BSFL) fractions, Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with BioLoop Sdn Bhd on 3 January 2023. This collaborative project aims to investigate the yield and quality of BSFL oil and defatted meals to maximize the utilization of BSFL while solving the problems of global food and feed stress as well as waste management.

On 18 March 2023, IEM (Institution of Engineers, Malaysia) - XMUM Student Section participated the IEM X ESUM Open Day 2023, connecting with leading corporations and learning the latest news related to engineering fields, both in education and career development.Held at Dewan Tunku Canselor, Universiti Malaya, this Open Day was organized by the Young Engineers Section (YES) under the Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (IEM).
