Six XMUM Scholars Successfully Secure Fundamental Research Grant Scheme (FRGS) 2022
The Research and Postgraduate Centre wishes to congratulate all scholars who have been successful in obtaining the Fundamental Research Grant Scheme (FRGS) from the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia in 2022 and received a total of RM 692,552.00 for six projects.These projects are from School of Mathematics and Physics, School of Energy and Chemical Engineering, School of Electrical Engineering and Artificial Intelligence, as well as School of Economics and Management.

Chemical Engineering Student Publishes in Fuel Processing Technology
The Research and Postgraduate Centre congratulates Lam Jia En, Dr. Andrew Ng Kay Lup and Dr. Koh Mei Kee from the School of Energy and Chemical Engineering for the recent article published in Fuel Processing Technology, an SCI tier-1 journal with the latest impact factor of 8.129.Lam Jia En, the first author of the article, is a Class of 2022 graduate of Chemical Engineering programme. The article is related to her final year project, which was supervised by Dr. Koh Mei Kee and co-supervised by Dr. Andrew Ng Kay Lup.

The Second & Third Convocation Ceremonies of XMUM were held in 5 sessions on 13, 14 and 27 August for the graduating classes of 2020 and 2021, with more than 3000 students, parents, faculty members and guests attending.

Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre congratulates Steven Yong Choong Hong, an undergraduate from the Electrical and Electronics Engineering programme for winning the Silver Medal in Science and Technology category (Poster Presentation) at the International Science and Social Science Innovation Competition 2022 (I-SIC IV) among 64 groups of participants.

Chemical Engineering Master Student Wins Best Oral Presentation Award at Academic Conference
The Center for Postgraduate Studies and Research congratulates Lau Siew Kei, a master’s student in Chemical Engineering from XMUM School of Energy and Chemical Engineering for winning the Best Oral Presentation Award at the International Conference on Carbon Capture Science and Technology 2022 (CCST 2022), which was held virtually during 21-23 July 2022. Organized by Queen’s University Belfast, this conference aims to promote carbon capture research.
