Dr. Lim Yen Kheng Publishes Novel Research Results on Black Holes
The Research Management Center congratulates Associate Professor Dr. Lim Yen Kheng from Mathematics Programme on his recent publication entitled Charged dilaton black hole with multiple Liouville potentials and gauge fields, as the First and Corresponding Author. The paper was published in the Journal of High Energy Physics (Volume 2020, article number 134) on 24 March 2020, one of theleading journals (SCI Tier-1) in the field of high energy physics.
Ir. Dr. Wong Shen Yuong Publishes in SCI Q1 Journal as First and Corresponding Author
The Research Management Center congratulates Ir. Dr. Wong Shen Yuong from Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) programme on her recent publication entitled “A New Probabilistic Output Constrained Optimization Extreme Learning Machine”, as First and Corresponding Author. The paper was published online on February 2020 (Volume 8, Issue 1) in IEEE Access, a peer-reviewed scientific journal published by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
XMUM Forges New Collaborative Partnerships with 4 Global Universities
To offer a wide range of further study opportunities for its students, Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) signed 4 new collaborative agreements with University of Auckland, Massey University, Dublin Business School, and University of Strathclyde in February 2020. XMUM Students Join Research Exchange Programme at Tokyo University of Science
SEPANG: During the festive season of Chinese New Year, five students from New Energy Science and Engineering Programme, Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) went to Japan for a research exchange program funded by the Sakura Science Plan (SSP).Initiated by Japanese government in 2014, SSP aims to strengthen the bonds between Japan and other countries as well as globalize Japanese education by exchanging ideas in the field of science and technology.
2019 Nan Ying Cup International Chinese Debate Competition Held at XMUM
“2019 ICBC Nan Ying Cup International Intervarsity Chinese Debate Competition” was successfully held at Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) from 21 to 22 December 2019. Soochow University (Chinese: 东吴大学) and University of Melbourne were crowned as winner and the first runner-up respectively, while Hu Shan Yung from Soochow University was announced as the Best Debater.
First Inter-University Swimming Competition Held at XMUM
XMUM Swimming Club has held its first ever Inter-University Swimming Competition on 14 December 2019, to encourage interaction and experience-sharing among swimmers from different universities and cultural backgrounds.The Competition attracted representatives from XMUM, Manipal International University, Multimedia University Cyberjaya, Heriot-Watt University Malaysia, and University of Nottingham Malaysia, with one participant from Nottingham winning the trophy of the Most Valuable Player.
