Newcastle University Business School Representatives Meet with XMUM Students
Ms Shelagh Cauwood, Newcastle University Business School’s Joint Head of International Recruitment, and Ms Sarah Beech, International Recruitment Manager, together with their colleague Ms Ching Mei, visited XMUM on 16 July 2018. During the visit, they met with XMUM students to share and discuss further studies options.
XMUM Student Union’s Ministry of Culture Organized Eid al-Fitr Celebration
In order to broaden students’ vision and get them to experience the cultural customs of the major religious festival of Eid al-Fitr, XMUM Student Union’s Ministry of Culture organized an Eid celebration on 27 June 2018.
Executive Dean of Dublin Business School Shares Further Studies Options with XMUM Students
Mr. Andrew Conlan-Trant, Executive Dean of Dublin Business School (DBS), together with his colleague, Mr. James Browne, Senior Lecturer of Accounting, visited XMUM students on 5 July 2018 to share and discuss further studies options with XMUM students. Based on the MOU signed between XMUM and DBS on 3 May 2018, XMUM students can enjoy several privileges when pursuing their further studies at DBS.
University of Cincinnati Partners with XMUM
To expand our partnership globally, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and an Agreement have been signed between College of Engineering and Applied Science (CEAS), University of Cincinnati and Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM).Now selected engineering students of XMUM have the chance to pursue their Master Degree at CEAS, University of Cincinnati (UC), as long as they meet UC’s admission requirement. Moreover, based on the agreement, those XMUM students admitted to UC’s MEng programme would be offered partial fees waiver.
XMUM Wins Second Prize at the 9th China Students Service Outsourcing Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition
The Office of Research and Innovation congratulates the XMUM student team from the Software Engineering Programme for winning Second Prize at the 9th China Students Service Outsourcing Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition held on 30 May - 1 June 2018 at Wuxi city, Jiang Su Province, China. The team was supervised by Prof Dr Lin Juncong from the School of Software, Xiamen University, China. A total of more than 5,000 teams participated in the competition. The XMUM team, ranked top 5%, was shortlisted to enter the final phase of the competition.
