About 400 Undergraduate Students Join XMUM in April 2018
Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) welcomed 393 undergraduate students on 20 & 21 April, including 148 new applicants and 245 progressing students from XMUM Foundation Programmes. With this new batch of students joining the university, the total student enrolment of XMUM reached about 3,300.

XMUM Wins the Group First Prize at the 2nd International Chinese Proficiency Competition (Singapore and Malaysia)
XMUM students achieved outstanding results at the 2nd International Chinese Proficiency Competition (Singapore and Malaysia) held in May 2017, winning the first prize in international group competition, as well as 2 second prizes and 2 third prizes in individual competition. XMUM team was supervised by Prof. Wang Xiaomei, the programme coordinator of the Department of Chinese Studies.

UPM Vice-Chancellor Visits XMUM
Vice Chancellor of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) Prof. Datin Paduka Dato' Dr. Aini Ideris led her team to visit Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) on 4 April 2018.Prof. Dr. Aini was accompanied by UPM Deputy Vice Chancellors for Academic and International, for Students’ Affairs and Alumni, for Industry and Community Relations, and the heads of UPM’s Corporate Strategy and Communications Office, Library, Research Management Centre, Bursar Office, Center of Academic Development, and Office of the Vice Chancellor.

Minister Counsellor Chen Chen Visits XMUM
Minister Counsellor Chen Chen, Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Malaysia, paid a visit to Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) on 30 March 2018. XMUM Assistant President Dr. Zhang Ying warmly welcomed Minister Counsellor Chen on behalf of the university. Ms. Li Xiaowen, PA to President, then briefed Minister Counsellor and his team on the current development progress of XMUM.

Deloitte is looking forward to further strengthening partnership with Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) and encourages more XMUM students to join Deloitte, said Deloitte Malaysia’s Chinese Services Group Leader Yee Wing Peng.Mr Yee made the remark during a career talk held at XMUM on 27 March 2018, in which 9 Deloitte professionals and 3 XMUM interns working in tax, audit and deal advisory at Deloitte shared their working experiences and gave career advices to over 180 audiences.
