The Joint Energy Science and Engineering Forum has been conducted in the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Xiamen University main campus on 14th June 2017. The forum provided a platform for researchers from the Xiamen University of Malaysia (XMUM) campus to interact with those from the main campus.

中文系才子频获文学奖
厦门大学马来西亚分校中文系学生郑田靖捷报频传，在刚刚结束的“2017全国大专文学奖”中斩获诗歌组首奖，其诗作《我想在大庭广众吻你》获得三位评审的一致好评，是“众多参赛诗情中耀眼的珍珠”（评审语）。郑田靖自入学以来，先后获得“第一届海鸥青年文学奖”新诗评审奖、“第十四届南大微型小说比赛”优秀奖、“第二届海马文学奖”散文佳作奖、“第四届宗乡青网络文学奖”小说优秀奖与散文安慰奖、“第一届拉曼大学大专文学奖”优秀奖。这些荣誉让这位中文系的大一学生在学校内外小有名气，他创作的作品也出现在了马来西亚的主流报章上。

Twenty students from Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM), the first overseas campus of a Chinese university in the world, visited Huawei Customer Solution Innovation & Integration Experience Center (CSIC) on 24 March 2017.
China-ASEAN College of Marine Sciences
XMUM participated in the Workshop on the Sustainable Aspects of Marine Sciences in Indonesia and China
With the establishment of China–ASEAN College of Marine Science, Xiamen University and Xiamen University Malaysia seek more cooperation in marine science education and research with ASEAN countries. To chart for future cooperation with the colleagues from Indonesia, China-ASEAN College of Marine Sciences, Xiamen University Malaysia was invited to join the Workshop on Sustainable Aspects of Marine Sciences in Indonesia and China (In 24th – 25th November 2016, Xiamen, China).
