XMUM Undergraduates Co-author Research Paper on Black Holes
The Research Management Center congratulates undergraduates Chen Zihang and Deng Bojun from Mathematics and Applied Mathematics programme, on the publication of “Orbital mechanics and quasiperiodic oscillation resonances of black holes in Einstein-Æther theory” in SCI Q1 Journal - Physical Review D, 102 (2020) 044028. This research was done under the guidance of Associate Professor Dr. Lim Yen Kheng and is part of an international collaboration between XMUM and universities from Turkey, Pakistan and China.

Dr. Yong Wai Fen and CME Student Publish in Top Journal (Progress in Materials Science)
Research Management Center congratulates Associate Prof. Dr. Yong Wai Fen from School of Energy and Chemical Engineering, Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) on publishing a review article entitled “Recent Advances in Polymer Blend Membranes for Gas Separation and Pervaporation” in Progress in Materials Science as the first and the corresponding author. Progress in Materials Science is a peer reviewed Q1 journal with an impact factor of 31.560 and ranks as the Top 1 journal in Materials Science category.

XMUM Signs MOU with Startek (Aegis BPO Malaysia) on University-Industry Cooperation
Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Startek (Aegis BPO Malaysia) on 29 July 2020 to provide internships and employment opportunities for students and to establish a win-win cooperation between both parties. Signing on behalf of Xiamen University Malaysia was Mr. Vincent Soh Chee Hong, Manager of Student Affairs (Career Services), while Startek (Aegis BPO Malaysia) was represented by Ms. Bhavana Yadav, Human Resources Director of the company.

XMUM Receives Donation of Temperature Measurement Terminal
On 23 June 2020, China-ASEAN Information Harbor, together with Alma Technology, donated a Temperature Measurement Terminal to Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM).Mr. Tian Guanghui, CEO of China-ASEAN Information Harbor (Malaysia), Mr. K. K. Lim, Director of Alma Technology Sdn. Bhd., and Mr. K. S. Ng, Senior Sales Manager of Alma Technology, presented the Terminal to the university. They demonstrated how to use the equipment and provided training to XMUM technicians. XMUM Assistant President, Dr. Zhang Ying, received the Terminal on behalf of the university.

XMUM Teams Shine at OPPO TOP University Innovation & Technology Competition 5G Season
Innovation Center congratulates XMUM teams for winning one Third prize and three Finalist Prizes at the 5G Season of OPPO TOP University Innovation and Technology Competition.A platform for 5G talents at colleges and universities to shine, the competition aims to promote the application of 5G technology in the fields of science, education and enterprise practice, and to encourages college students to put forward innovative and complete solutions in the 5G area. The total prizes of this competition amount to RMB 1 million (USD 140,000).
