XMUM Team Wins Awards at International Process Control Competition 2025
A team of undergraduate students from the School of Energy and Chemical Engineering (SECE), Xiamen University Malaysia, achieved notable success at the International Process Control Competition 2025 (IPCC 2025), held at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) from 22 to 24 August.Team members Sim Jian Hao, Wong Yu Xin, Ng Wei Kang, and Tan Willy, under the guidance of Assistant Professor Dr. Noraini binti Mohd, secured the Second Runner-Up and Best Innovation Awards after an intensive 48-hour hackathon.

PhD Student Wins Global IChemE Award as Malaysia's Sole Recipient
The Research and Postgraduate Centre congratulates Chew Zhi Ling, a PhD student from the School of Energy and Chemical Engineering (SECE) at Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM), on winning Young Engineers Awards for Innovation and Sustainability (YEAIS) 2025 (postgraduate category) by Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE).

Traditional Chinese Medicine Students Begin 28-Week Internship in Yunnan, China
On 23 August 2025, 25 students from the 2021/04 intake of the School of Traditional Chinese Medicine (STCM), Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM), arrived in Kunming, Yunnan, China, to begin a 28-week clinical internship at the First Affiliated Hospital of Yunnan University of Chinese Medicine (Yunnan Provincial Hospital of TCM).

School of Computing and Data Science Discusses Collaboration with MSTB
School of Computing and Data Science, Xiamen University Malaysia hosted a strategic meeting on 20 August 2025 with the Malaysian Software Testing Board (MSTB), to explore potential collaboration in Software Testing and Requirement Engineering.Dr. Chandra Reka, Head of Programme for Software Engineering at XMUM, led the session. Representing MSTB were Prof. Madya Dr. Rozilawati, Director of MSTB; Norazura Md Saad, MSTB representative; and Pn. Norlida, Financial Controller at MSTB.
