XMUM Team Excels in the 3rd China "Huangdi Neijing" Knowledge Competition (Regional Round)
A team of four from Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) - Lim Jie Yi, Chia Yit Ping, Tay An Yen, and Teh Shu Wei - won Third Prize at the Eastern Regional Competition of the 3rd China "Huangdi Neijing" Knowledge Competition, which was held at Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from 23 to 24 December 2025.
XMUM 24 Festive Drums Team Wins Gold Award at Malaysia Intra-Varsity Competition
On 21 December 2025, the inaugural Malaysia National Intra-Varsity Festive Drums Open Competition (Gu Ju Da Zhuan), hosted by Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka, was held in Melaka. The 24 Festive Drums Team of Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) received the Gold Award, as well as the Best Drumming Skills Award and Best Composition Award.
XMUM Expert Trains Malaysian Officials on Bioenergy
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tan Jian Ping, Director of the Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Technologies for Agricultural Advancement and a Zero-Waste Economy (STARGAZE) at Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM), conducted a bioenergy training programme for officers of the Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA) Malaysia on 19 December 2025.
Dr. Li Jing Publishes in IEEE Transactions on Network and Service Management
The Research and Postgraduate Centre congratulates Asst. Prof. Dr. Li Jing from the School of Computing and Data Science, for his recent research article published in IEEE Transactions on Network and Service Management, an SCI Q1 journal with the latest impact factor of 5.4.

Prof. Dr. Ong Wee Jun Appointed as Associate Editor of SmartMat (Wiley, IF=12.8)
The Research and Postgraduate Center congratulates Prof. Dr. Ong Wee Jun, the Assistant Dean of School of Energy and Chemical Engineering and the Director of Center of Excellence for NaNo Energy and Catalysis Technology (CONNECT), on his appointment as Associate Editor of SmartMat, a peer-reviewed journal with an impact factor of 12.8 (Q1) published by Wiley, for the 2025-2027 term.
