XMUM Launches "Global Hybrid Classroom" with Cross-Border Aerobics Session
On 18 December 2025, Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) launched its "Global Hybrid Classroom" initiative with an Aerobics Dance Class, connecting 15 students in Malaysia with instructors and peers from the School of Art of Beijing Sports University and The First Hospital of Tsinghua University.

"StepVenture" Brings Students Outdoors for Nature and Creativity
On 6 December 2025, the Environmental Club hosted "StepVenture" on the lush trails of Bukit 527 in Sepang. The event brought together 15 students, mainly from Malaysia and China, to enjoy nature, stay active, and learn about sustainability."StepVenture" was more than a hike - it gave students a chance to explore the trails responsibly and connect with nature. Committee members were on hand throughout to make sure everything ran smoothly and safely, letting participants focus on the experience.

XMUM Team Excels in the 3rd China "Huangdi Neijing" Knowledge Competition (Regional Round)
A team of four from Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) - Lim Jie Yi, Chia Yit Ping, Tay An Yen, and Teh Shu Wei - won Third Prize at the Eastern Regional Competition of the 3rd China "Huangdi Neijing" Knowledge Competition, which was held at Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from 23 to 24 December 2025.

XMUM 24 Festive Drums Team Wins Gold Award at Malaysia Intra-Varsity Competition
On 21 December 2025, the inaugural Malaysia National Intra-Varsity Festive Drums Open Competition (Gu Ju Da Zhuan), hosted by Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka, was held in Melaka. The 24 Festive Drums Team of Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) received the Gold Award, as well as the Best Drumming Skills Award and Best Composition Award.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tan Jian Ping, Director of the Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Technologies for Agricultural Advancement and a Zero-Waste Economy (STARGAZE) at Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM), conducted a bioenergy training programme for officers of the Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA) Malaysia on 19 December 2025.
