XMUM Team Wins Gold at MJIC 2026 with 3D-Printed Eco Adsorbents
The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre congratulates a team of Year 3 Chemical Engineering undergraduate student Tan Jia Yen, Kuck Zi Xuan, and Liew Xin Yu on winning the Gold Award at the Malaysia-Japan International Conference on Nanoscience, Nanotechnology & Nanoengineering (MJIC 2026), held on 24 January 2026.
STCM Hosts Third Mobility Programme with Yunnan University of Chinese Medicine
The School of Traditional Chinese Medicine (STCM) recently completed its third mobility programme in collaboration with students from Yunnan University of Chinese Medicine (YUCM). The programme welcomed two undergraduate students for a six-week period (7 November 2025 – 27 December 2025) and four postgraduate students for eleven weeks (7 November 2025 – 24 January 2026), offering them a comprehensive introduction to TCM education and practice in Malaysia.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Song Kok Wee Publishes in Physical Review Letters
The Research and Postgraduate Centre congratulates Assoc. Prof. Dr. Song Kok Wee from the Department of Physics, for the recent research article published in Physical Review Letters, an SCIE Q1 journal with the latest impact factor of 9.1.This research is conducted in collaboration with Prof. Dr. Oleksandr Kyriienko from the University of Sheffield.
Two XMUM Scholars Among 2025 Most Cited Chinese Researchers
On 30 January, Elsevier officially released the 2025 list of Most Cited Chinese Researchers. Prof. Ong Wee Jun from the School of Energy and Chemical Engineering and Professor Chen Huanyang from the Department of Physics (seconded from XMU) at Xiamen University Malaysia were both selected.
