Five XMUM Students Attend the Future Aircraft Innovation Competition
On July 20 2019, the finals of the 5th Flying Shark Cup National Graduate Future Aircraft Innovation Competition was held at Xiang'an Campus of Xiamen University. Five XMUM students were invited by Prof. You Yancheng, the Executive Dean of the School of Aerospace Engineering, Xiamen University to observe the competition. The five students are Wu Yunze (Computer Science and Technology), Nie Lan (Digital Media Technology), Ren Xin (Software Engineering), Ye Xiaofeng and Lin Yuhan (both from Electrical and Electronic Engineering). Chemical Engineering Student Wins Second Prize in 14th “Challenge Cup” Competition of Fujian Province
Under the instruction of Dr. Ong Wee Jun, second-year chemical engineering student Ren Yijie won the second prize for his project, Research of Heterojunction Interfaces in Graphitic Carbon Nitride (g-C3N4)-based Metal Sulfide Photocatalysts for Energy Conversion in the 14th Challenge Cup “University Students’ Extracurricular Academic Science and Technology Works Competition of Fujian Province”.

Australian National University Seeks Collaboration with XMUM in Engineering Fields
College of Engineering and Computer Sciences (CECS), Australian National University (ANU) is seeking potential collaboration with Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) in the field of engineering, said Dr. Adrian Lowe, Associate Dean of CECS during a visit to XMUM.On 21 June 2019, Dr. Adrian Lowe and Ms. Audrey Teo, Acting Manager of International Recruitment & Partnership, visited XMUM and discussed about initiating postgraduate pathway for XMUM students entering ANU CECS for postgraduate studies.
