XMUM Co-Organized Malaysia-China University-Industry Matching Forum
On April 30, XMUM Research Management Center and Innovation Center jointly organized a University-Industry Matching Forum together with TusStar Malaysia. Three Chinese enterprises focusing on new energy and chemical engineering participated as presenters.
Chemical Engineering Undergraduate Publishes in Angewandte Chemie as First Author
Research Management Center congratulates undergraduate student Zhang Wenhao and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ong Wee Jun, both from XMUM Chemical Engineering Programme, School of Energy and Chemical Engineering, on their success in publishing the review entitled “Z-Scheme Photocatalytic Systems for Carbon Dioxide Reduction: Where Are We Now?”, as the first author and the corresponding author respectively, in Angewandte Chemie International Edition.
XMUM EEE Undergraduates Publish Research Results on Innovative Optical Instruments
The Research Management Center congratulates eight (8) undergraduate students from XMUM Electrical and Electronics Engineering Programme (EEE) on publishing two SCI Q1 papers proposing three types of new absolute optical instruments. Their research is conducted under the guidance of Prof. Chen Huanyang from School of Electronic Science and Engineering of Xiamen University (XMU).
XMUM Receives Additional Donations of Face Masks
Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) has recently received donations of 17,000 face masks for the use of its staff and students on campus.Mr. Zhang Yihui, the General Manager of Fujian Jiulong Construction Group Co. Ltd. (Zhangzhou Branch), donated 7,000 face masks, while Ms. Lin Qi, a third year China student at XMUM Electrical and Electronic Engineering Programme, donated 10,000 face masks.The University management expressed their sincere gratitude towards the donators’ generous contribution and said that they will make full use of the face masks to combat Covid-19.
Special Issue of Global Chinese Showcases Papers Presented at XMUM Organized Forum
Prof. Wang Xiaomei from XMUM Department of Chinese Studies has guest-edited a special issue of Global Chinese (Vol. 6, Issue 1, 2020), a journal published by De Gruyter, on studies of Malaysian Mandarin.
