XMUM Undergraduate Wins CFA Best Paper Award in MFA Conference 2020
The Research Management Center congratulates Li Hui, currently a final-year Finance student from XMUM School of Economics and Management (SEM), on winning the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Best Paper Award in the 22nd Malaysian Finance Association Conference (MFAC) 2020. This national conference was held virtually from 17 to 19 November 2020. In the conference, two CFA Best Paper Awards were selected from 120 accepted submissions.

XMUM Undergraduate Receives Merit for Best Presenter Award in SPIL’20 Conference
The Research Management Center congratulates Phuang Zhen Xin, a final-year New Energy Science and Engineering (NESE) student, for obtaining Merit for Best Presenter Award in the 4th Sustainable Process Integration Laboratory (SPIL) Scientific Conference. The Conference was held from 18 to 20 November 2020. 15 Best Presenter Awards (1st Prize, 2nd Prize, 3rd Prize, and 12 Merits) were selected from 209 oral presentations.

Dr. Gan Wee Chen and Students Publish in SCI Tier 1 Journal
The Research Management Center congratulates undergraduate Jason Koay Soon Chye and Assistant Professor Dr. Gan Wee Chen from Department of New Engineering Science and Engineering (NESE), School of Energy and Chemical Engineering, on publishing a research article entitled “An Overlapped Electron-Cloud Model for the Contact Electrification in Piezo-Assisted Triboelectric Nanogenerators via Control of Piezoelectric Polarization”, as first author and corresponding author, respectively.

XMUM Co-hosts the 3rd International Conferences on Future Smart Cities
Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) successfully hosted the 3rd International Conference on Future Smart Cities (FSC) & Resilient and Responsible Architecture and Urbanism (RRAU) from 14 to 15 November 2020, with International Experts for Research Enrichment and Knowledge Exchange (IEREK) as the collaborative partner. The conference was held online due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
