First XMU-XMUM Electrochemistry Summer School Held in Malaysia
The first Xiamen University (XMU) - Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) Electrochemistry Summer School was held at XMUM from 29 to 31 July 2025.This event was organized by the China-Malaysia Institute for International Advanced Studies (CMIIAS), XMUM, the State Key Laboratory of Physical Chemistry of Solid Surfaces (PCOSS), and XMU's College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering.
XMUM Postgraduate Wins Best Presenter Award at ICMMBT 2025
The Research and Postgraduate Centre congratulates Ekaterina Efimova (Kate) from the China-ASEAN College of Marine Sciences, Xiamen University Malaysia, for winning the Best Student Presenter Award at the 5th International Conference on Integrated Coastal Management & Marine Biotechnology (ICMMBT), held on 30 & 31 July 2025 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
SCDS Holds Second Coffee Talk to Strengthen Student-Lecturer Engagement
The School of Computing and Data Science (SCDS) Student Council organised its second Coffee Talk on 20 June 2025, moving to the larger B1-101 Multipurpose Hall to accommodate more participants. This edition saw increased faculty participation, with 22 lecturers, including senior academics and programme heads, joining the event.
CAMS Students Participate in NUS Science Summer Institute 2025
Three students from the China-ASEAN College of Marine Sciences (CAMS), Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) - Chow Shi Yin, Ong Yi Xiang, and Vivian Foong Chee Yan - took part in the NUS Science Summer Institute (SSI) 2025, held from 8 to 17 July at the National University of Singapore (NUS).
Prof. Ong Wee Jun and Team Publish in Advanced Functional Materials
The Research and Postgraduate Centre congratulates Lim Ke Ming, Valerine, and Prof. Dr. Ong Wee Jun from the School of Energy and Chemical Engineering and the Center of Excellence for NaNo Energy & Catalysis Technology (CONNECT) on their recent publication in Advanced Functional Materials, a peer-reviewed SCI Q1 journal published by Wiley, with a current impact factor of 19.0. According to Clarivate (Web of Science), the journal ranks in the top 4% in the multidisciplinary chemistry category.
