Dr. Andrew Ng Kay Lup Awarded ASEAN-China Young Leaders Scholar Award 2022
The Research and Postgraduate Center congratulates Dr. Andrew Ng Kay Lup from the School of Energy and Chemical Engineering for being chosen as the recipient of the ASEAN-China Young Leaders Scholarship (ACYLS). As an ACYLS awardee, he will undertake a fully-funded short-term academic and research collaboration on heterostructures with Dr. Zhao Xiaoxu from the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Peking University, China.
Department of English Greets New Students with an Orientation Party
The English Department of Xiamen University Malaysia held an offline orientation on September 26, 2022, for new students to discover the beauty of English literature and the wonders of the English world.This orientation activity includes 7 sessions in total. After an opening song performance, all attending faculty members and students introduced themselves to each other. Games were also arranged for ice breaking purpose.
Dr. Andrew Ng Kay Lup Attends Green Talents Research Stay
In August 2022, Dr. Andrew Ng Kay Lup from XMUM School of Energy and Chemical Engineering attended the Green Talents Research Stay at the Department of Chemistry, Technical University Munich, Germany for 5 weeks. During this stay, Dr. Andrew Ng Kay Lup visited Prof. Johannes Lercher, the Chair of Chemical Technology II to discuss collaboration on catalysis research.
XMUM Lecturer and Student Awarded Grants from Malaysia Toray Science Foundation (MTSF 2022)
The Research and Postgraduate Centre congratulates Tey Ker Yee and Dr. Yip Chi Kiong for being awarded Science & Technology Research Grant and Science Education Award Winner Prize by the Malaysia Toray Science Foundation 2022 (MTSF 2022), respectively.
XMUM Hosts National Materials Lecture Competition 2022
On 16 June and 7 July 2022, XMUM School of Energy and Chemical Engineering successfully hosted the National Materials Lecture Competition (MLC2022), an annual event allowing young university students and researchers, to showcase their presentation skills and share their knowledge on issues pertaining to materials to a diversified audience.
