Experience the Future of Digital Media at XMUM DMT Showcase
The inaugural DMT Showcase Event at Xiamen University Malaysia, hosted by the Digital Media Technology Programme, School of Computing and Data Science, took place from April 26 to 27, 2024.The event aimed to showcase the diverse talents of DMT students and position them for internship opportunities in the gaming industry and related digital media sectors. It served as a platform for students or professionals in digital media-related fields to exhibit their creative projects, innovations, and talents.

The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre congratulates Team BabyBus, comprising a group of 4 undergraduate students – Lam Sing Yan (Mathematics and Applied Mathematics), Qu Yexi (Finance), Zhang Linya (Accounting), Lin Yixin (Accounting) - for achieving successful results in International Quant Championship (IQC) 2023, one of the largest quant competitions around the world.

In a bid to enrich the academic journey of Chinese Studies students, Xiamen University Malaysia Library organized its second Library Guided Tour and Online/Offline Resource-Sharing Event on 22 April, 2024.As requested by Assistant Professor Dr. Ooi Bee Peng for the research method class of Chinese Studies, the event aimed to familiarize students with the physical and digital resources available within the university's library.

The International Seminar on Creating Knowledge in Asia: Opportunities and Challenges, held at Xiamen University Malaysia on April 28, 2024, concluded successfully.Organized by XMUM's Department of English Language and Literature in collaboration with the National University of Singapore (NUS) and the Asia West East Institute (Asia WE), the seminar featured a diverse lineup of speakers who engaged in stimulating discussions on pressing issues in knowledge production and decolonization within the Asian context.
