Two academic staff from the School of Energy and Chemical Engineering, Xiamen University Malaysia, have been recognized with honors at the Private Education Excellence Awards 2024, hosted by Private Education Cooperative of Malaysia (Educoop).
Xiamen University's Research Vessel Tan Kah Kee Hosts Malaysia Public Open Days
On 2 August 2024, the opening ceremony for the Malaysia Public Open Days of the Tan Kah Kee Research Vessel (R/V TKK) was held at Port Klang. Over 100 guests attended, including representatives from Malaysian government, academia, industry, social organizations, as well as faculty and students from Xiamen University's main campus and Malaysia campus.

On July 25, 2024, Professor Cheryl Xiaoning Long, Director of the Intellectual Property and Innovation Research Centre (IPIRC) of Xiamen University Malaysia, was invited to attend the “International Forum on Blue Economy: Prospects and Opportunities for Enhancing Blue Partnership and Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of China-Malaysia Diplomatic Ties” and delivered a keynote speech.
Four XMUM Academic Staff Secure Funding from the Fundamental Research Grant Scheme 2024
The Research and Postgraduate Centre congratulates four academic staff from Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) who have secured the prestigious grants under the Ministry of Higher Education’s Fundamental Research Grant Scheme (FRGS).The four recipients, from the School of Energy and Chemical Engineering, China-ASEAN College of Marine Science, and School of Computing and Data Science, have collectively been awarded a total of RM 535,188.
