Xiamen University Malaysia Strengthens TCM Collaboration with Local Clinics
During 26-27 May 2025, a delegation from the School of Traditional Chinese Medicine (STCM) at Xiamen University Malaysia, led by Dean Prof. Chen Shaodong, visited Nature Concept TCM in Johor Bahru and Sunway TCM in Kuala Lumpur to strengthen collaboration in TCM education and clinical practice.
The delegation included Asst. Prof. Dr. Chep Lee Lu Siang, Head of Undergraduate Programme; Mr. Vincent Soh Chee Hong, Deputy Director of Student Affairs; and Ms. Kho Jia Jia, STCM Administrative Executive. At Nature Concept, they were warmly received by Clinic Director Dr. Wu Ying Li and toured the consultation rooms and herbal preparation areas, gaining insight into the integration of traditional TCM methods with modern clinical settings.
At Sunway TCM, Medical Director Dr. Lim Ren Jye introduced the clinic's history and vision, followed by a tour of its facilities. Discussions focused on potential partnerships in education, research, and clinical development.
These visits highlight Xiamen University Malaysia's commitment to advancing TCM through academic-industry collaboration. All parties expressed enthusiasm for future joint initiatives in research, clinical practice, and education.
