Prof. Ong Wee Jun & Team Publish in Advanced Functional Materials and Selected as Journal Back Cover
The Research and Postgraduate Centre congratulates Yap Feng Ming, Loh Jian Yiing, and Prof. Dr. Ong Wee Jun (corresponding author) from the School of Energy and Chemical Engineering and the Center of Excellence for NaNo Energy & Catalysis Technology (CONNECT) for their recent research article published in Advanced Functional Materials, an SCI Q1 journal with the latest impact factor of 18.5. According to Clarivate (Web of Science), Advanced Functional Materials ranks in the top 4% of journals in the multidisciplinary chemistry category.
TCM Students Publish Book Chapter on Eco-Friendly Nanoparticles for Cancer Treatment
Two students from the School of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Kai Lee Yee and Angel Yong Hua Ong, have contributed a book chapter titled Eco-friendly Nanoparticle Synthesis for Cancer Treatment: A Sustainable Healthcare Approach in the newly published book Sustainable Pharmaceutical Product Development and Optimization Processes: From Eco-Design to Supply Chain Integrity, by Springer Nature.
CIBC Technology Sdn. Bhd. Donates Two Mobile Robots to XMUM
On 16 January 2024, a handover ceremony was held at the A3 Library - Robotic Lab to mark the donation of two mobile robots from CIBC Technology Sdn. Bhd. to Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM).The robots were officially received by XMUM Vice President, Associate Professor Zhang Ying, on behalf of the university, from Ms. Janice Leow Li Hwa, Managing Director of CIBC Technology Sdn. Bhd.

XMUM Successfully Concludes Yunnan University of Chinese Medicine Mobility Programme
On 21 January 2025, Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) hosted the closing ceremony for the Yunnan University of Chinese Medicine (YUCM) Mobility Programme, marking the successful completion of the international exchange. The ceremony was attended by Dr. Zhang Ying, Vice President of XMUM, Prof. Yin Weiping, YUCM representative, and faculty members from XMUM’s School of Traditional Chinese Medicine (STCM).

Dr. Yong Wai Fen from the School of Energy and Chemical Engineering on their recent review article published in Carbon Capture Science & Technology (CCST), an official publication of the Institution of Chemical Engineers journal with the latest impact factor of 10.4.Remarkably, their work has been selected as the inside front cover design.
