On 14 December 2025, XMUM Student Arts Dance Troupe was invited to perform at Malaysian Annual Character Announcement Ceremony 2025, which was held in Ideal Convention Centre Shah Alam. 

The troupe presented the classic dances Lanting Xu and Liang Zhu, receiving enthusiastic applause from the audience. The performance was covered by major Malaysian media as well as Chinese media.

This event, started in 2011, is now in its 15th year. Organized by the Federation of Chinese Associations Malaysia and Malaysia Han Culture Centre, the event selects a single Chinese character each year to reflect the nation's key events and public concerns.
