School of Computing and Data Science Honors Top Achievers in Dean’s List Ceremony
The School of Computing and Data Science (SCDS) successfully hosted the prestigious Dean’s List Award Ceremony on 7 March 2025, celebrating the academic excellence of students who achieved a GPA of 3.70 or higher.This event recognized the dedication and perseverance of 290 high-achieving students from various programmes, including Software Engineering (SWE), Cyber Security (CYS), Computer Science and Technology (CST), Data Science (DSC), and Digital Media Technology (DMT).
Build a Stable Home for the Rare Collections
Xiamen University Malaysia Campus (XMUM) Library, which was opened in May 2023, faces a unique challenge typical to Malaysia's climate: the constant threat of damage to its physical collections due to high temperatures and humidity. In response, the library hosted a seminar titled Conservation Methods and Technologies for Common Collections on March 12, 2024, aiming to address this issue.
XMUM and CMH Hospital Launch Cross-Border TCM Internship
Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) and CMH Specialist Hospital have launched a cross-border clinical internship to bridge Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Western medicine. Lim Sze Yen, a TCM undergraduate of 2020/04 intake, is the first student to complete the program, marking a milestone in interdisciplinary medical education.

From childhood writing in exercise books to becoming a literary editor and aspiring teacher, she continues to explore storytelling, where truth and fiction intertwine.

Prof. Ir. Dr. Yong Wai Fen & Student Publish in Progress in Materials Science
The Research and Postgraduate Centre congratulates Ong Wei Shen, Wilson, and Prof. Ir. Dr. Yong Wai Fen from the Department of Chemical Engineering, School of Energy and Chemical Engineering, on their recent review article "Emerging Innovations in Rubbery Polymeric Membranes for CO2 Separation: A Review" published in Progress in Materials Science, an SCI Q1 journal with the latest impact factor of 33.6. Ong Wei Shen, Wilson, is an undergraduate student who conducted his final-year project under the supervision of Prof. Ir. Dr. Yong Wai Fen.
