On 23 April 2026, the School of Communication of Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM), in collaboration with Sony Malaysia, successfully hosted an intensive Camera Operation Workshop. 

The exclusive session provided an engaging platform for students to peel back the curtain on professional photography and videography equipment. The event drew an enthusiastic crowd of students and academic staff, exploring essential topics ranging from equipment fundamentals to making practical, informed purchasing decisions.

The session was led by trainer Shaiful Baker, a seasoned industry expert with over 10 years of experience in photography and videography. His comprehensive workshop offered a basic introduction to the camera ecosystem, including a deep dive into the current camera lineup and the distinctive features that make Sony Alpha a standard in the industry.

Throughout the workshop, Shaiful Baker guided the attendees through a detailed breakdown of the various lenses options and camera configurations. He facilitated an interactive dialogue that helped students easily understand and identify which camera setup is most suitable for their specific shooting styles and creative aspirations.
