Prof. Ir. Dr. Yong Wai Fen and Chemical Engineering Master’s Student Publish in Journal of Membrane Science
The Research and Postgraduate Centre congratulates Gok Xie Yuen and Prof. Ir. Dr. Yong Wai Fen (corresponding author) from the School of Energy and Chemical Engineering on their recent research article published in Journal of Membrane Science, an SCI Q1 journal with the latest impact factor of 8.4.
New Cohort Embarks on Their TCM Journey at February Orientation
On 13 February 2025, the School of Traditional Chinese Medicine (STCM) welcomed 13 new students from the 2025/02 intake in a dedicated orientation event.The event commenced with opening remarks from Prof. Chen Shaodong, Dean of STCM, and Dr. Lim Chee Hoong, STCM Student Union Advisor, who extended their heartfelt welcome and encouragement. Dr. Chep Lee Lu Siang, Head of Programme, introduced the faculty and key academic guidelines, ensuring that new students have a clear understanding of their curriculum.

Raised in Taiz, Yemen, a bustling city famous for its Mocha coffee production, Hakim Abdulrab developed a strong sense of perseverance and self-motivation, which have guided him throughout his academic journey. "I have always been self-motivated, earning scholarships throughout my academic journey," he recalls.

1st Malaysia-China Youth Chinese Orchestra Exchange Camp Concludes at XMUM
The inaugural China-Malaysia Youth Chinese Orchestra Exchange Camp was successfully held at Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) from 12 to 15 February, attracting over 80 performers from XMUM, Tsinghua University, UTAR and the University of Malaya to share their passion for traditional Chinese music.
