IEEE ICSECS 2023 Accepts Two Papers from XMUM
Two papers from School of Computing and Data Science, Xiamen University Malaysia were accepted by 8th International Conference on Software Engineering & Computer Systems 2023 (IEEE ICSECS 2023), an academic conference organized by IEEE Industry Applications Society during 25-27 August 2023.Both papers were conducted under the supervision of Dr. Burra Venkata Durga Kumar.

Dr. Tee Keng Kok Appointed as a Facilitator by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD)
The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) in collaboration with the government of Thailand appointed Dr. Tee Keng Kok, Director of MBA Centre, Xiamen University Malaysia, as a facilitator for “Science, Technology and Innovative (STI) Capacity Building Programme on Female Researchers and Entrepreneurs to Promote Bio-Circular-Green Economic (BCG) Model”.The capacity building workshop was held from 6-13 August 2023 in Bangkok, Thailand.

The Research and Postgraduate Centre congratulates Assistant Professor Ts. Dr. Haw Choon Yian from the Department of New Energy Science and Engineering, School of Energy and Chemical Engineering, for being awarded “National Outstanding Young Educator” at the Private Education Excellence Awards 2023.

Dr. Yong Wai Fen and Chemical Engineering Postgraduate Student Publish in Journal of Environmental Chemical Engineering
The Research and Postgraduate Centre congratulates master student Lau Siew Kei and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yong Wai Fen from Department of Chemical Engineering, School of Energy and Chemical Engineering for their recent publication in the Journal of Environmental Chemical Engineering, an SCI Q1 journal with the latest impact factor of 7.7. This is a collaborative research with Nanjing Tech University and Xiamen University. Lau Siew Kei and Dr. Yong Wai Fen are the paper’s first author and corresponding author, respectively.

XMUM EEE Student Wins Bronze Medal at I-SIC V 2023
Tan Wei You, an undergraduate from the Electrical and Electronics Engineering programme, Xiamen University Malaysia, stood out among 65 groups of participants and won the Bronze Medal in Science and Technology category (Poster Presentation) at the International Science and Social Science Innovation Competition 2023 (I-SIC V).
