Prof. Lu Changyi, an alumnus and faculty member of Xiamen University (XMU), donated 200,000 RMB to Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) in 2021 and bestowed names upon 3 corridors on the campus since then, contributing to the enhancement of the campus landscape.

XMUM Postgraduate Student Awarded WWF EFN Fellowship for Sustainable Food Waste Research
The Research and Postgraduate Centre congratulates Chew Zhi Ling, a postgraduate student from the School of Energy and Chemical Engineering, on receiving the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) Education for Nature (EFN) Trudy Fellowship of USD 22,000, for her research in food waste valorization and novel food formulation.This grant will support her postgraduate studies and research for a period of 3 years (July 2023 – June 2026).

Prof. Dr. Tan Jian Ping from the School of Energy and Chemical Engineering for publishing an article “Current analysis on 1,3-propanediol production from glycerol via pure wild strain fermentation” in Journal of Environmental Chemical Engineering, a SCI Q1 journal with an impact factor of 7.7.
