Dr. Tan Yeng May Publishes in Research in International Business and Finance
The Research and Postgraduate Centre congratulates Assistant Prof. Dr. Tan Yeng May from the School of Economics and Management on her newest publication on the Research in International Business and Finance (RIBAF), an SSCI Q1 journal with the latest impact factor of 6.5. This article is co-authored by Sii Yew Hei, a graduate of the class of 2022 from the School of Computing and Data Science, Xiamen University Malaysia.
Dr. Yong Wai Fen and Chemical Engineering Postgraduate Students Publish in Science of The Total Environment
The Research and Postgraduate Centre congratulates Desmond Goh Wai Hang, Lau Hui Shen, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yong Wai Fen from the School of Energy and Chemical Engineering for the recent article published in Science of The Total Environment, an SCI Q1 journal with the latest impact factor of 10.754.Lau Hui Shen is a PhD student in Chemical Engineering at Xiamen University Malaysia, while Desmond Goh Wai Hang is a graduate of the class of 2022 who conducted his final year project under the supervision of Dr. Yong Wai Fen.

Prof. Wang Xiaomei, Head of Chinese Studies has recently published a paper entitled “The revival of Baba culture through linguistic landscape in Malacca, Malaysia” on Journal of Multilingual and Multicultural Development, an SSCI Q1 journal covering the sociology and social psychology of language.Dr. Koh Chong Wah and postgraduate students Choo Wan Yein and Leong Siw Yau also participated in the research.

Triboelectric Nanogenerators (TENGs) have emerged as a promising and innovative technology to generate electricity from friction, with the advantage of low cost and high output voltage. Recently, a group of researchers from Xiamen University Malaysia revealed the untapped potential of TENGs by harnessing dielectric and piezoelectric properties of polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) polymers.
