3rd XMUM Cup Physics Competition for Secondary School Successfully Held
The 3rd XMUM Cup Physics Competition for Secondary School has been organized successfully on 1 September 2022. 896 participants from 41 schools nationwide took part in the event.
The competition was held by XMUM Department of Physics, with the purposes of stimulating students' curiosity and enthusiasm in fundamental science, inspiring them to think logically and scientifically, as well as discovering their talents and passion in physics.
Compared to the previous two years, the performances of students remained consistently outstanding while both the amount of questions and the level of difficulty were increased. The winners of the competition are listed below:

Except for the cash prize sponsored by World Scientific Publishing, these students will also be awarded a tuition fee waiver from Xiamen University Malaysia if they enrol in Physics or Mathematics & Applied Mathematics programme.
The top three winners were all from Chong Hwa Independent High school, Kuala Lumpur, which won national first place (Group Category) with the preeminent results.

Assoc. Prof. Zhang Ying, the Vice President of Xiamen University Malaysia, was invited to give the awards during the awards ceremony on 17 October 2022.
