Pre-Internship TCM Proficiency Exam Held to Empower Students for Clinical Practice
The pre-internship Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) proficiency exam was successfully conducted on 6 September, 2024, to help students review the TCM theoretical knowledge acquired during their first to fourth years of study, laying a solid foundation for their upcoming clinical internships.A total of 71 students participated in the exam, with venues set up at Xiamen University’s Xiang’an Hospital (Siming Campus), Longyan TCM Hospital, and Tong'an District TCM Hospital.
Prof. Ong Wee Jun Receives over RM1 Million Grant during PETRONAS-Academia Collaboration Dialogue 2023
Prof. Dr. Ong Wee Jun, the Director of the Center of Excellence for NaNo Energy & Catalysis Technology (CONNECT) and the Assistant Dean of the School of Energy and Chemical Engineering, Xiamen University Malaysia, was awarded the prestigious PETRONAS-Academia Collaboration Dialogue (PACD) 2023 grant during the award ceremony held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre on 19 August 2024.

Prof. Zhang Yingqian & Team Publish on AI reliability in Applied Soft Computing
Prof. Zhang Yingqian from the School of Electrical Engineering and Artificial Intelligence, Xiamen University Malaysia, has published a research article in Applied Soft Computing (SCI-Q1, IF 8.7), a Tier 1 and Top Journal listed in CAS (Chinese Academy of Science) Journal Ranking System, as the corresponding author.
Chinese Studies Faculty and Students Attend Memorial Ceremonies at Kwong Tong Cemetery
On 15 August 2024, Prof. Wang Xiaomei, Head of Department of Chinese Studies of XMUM, Dr. Koh Chong Wah and Dr. Gui Wei attended the ceremony in memorial of the Nanyang Volunteers and Malayan World War II Victims at Kuala Lumpur Kwong Tong Cemetery, together with 4 students from the department. The event drew participants from across the country as well from China.
