​The School of Computing and Data Science (SCDS) at Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) hosted its Top Achiever Award Ceremony on 3 October 2025, to recognize exceptional accomplishments among academic staff and students for the 2025/04 semester.

Held during the SCDS School Meeting at the beginning of the 2025/09 semester, the ceremony brought together faculty members, staff and students in a meaningful celebration of academic dedication and excellence.

This semester, the Top Achiever Award in Teaching was presented to Dr. Al-Fawareh Hejab Ma’azer Khaled and Dr. Toa Chean Kim, in recognition of their outstanding contributions to teaching. Their selection was based on consistently high student evaluations, positive feedback and a strong commitment to delivering quality education, serving as a model for academic excellence within the school.

In the student category, the Top Achiever Award in Learning recognized five students who achieved the highest CGPA in their respective programmes:

• Loh Fu Quan, Computer Science and Technology (CST)

• Lim Kok Ping, Cyber Security (CYS)

• Tan Hong Kai, Software Engineering (SWE)

• Tay Hao Wen, Digital Media Technology (DMT)

• Lee Zi Hooi, Data Science (DSC)
