On 9 October 2025, the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) organized a welcoming party for the new students from 2025/09 intake. The orientation aimed to welcome newly enrolled students into the EEE community and to strengthen the connection among students, lecturers and staff.

The opening ceremony featured a welcoming speech by the organizing chairperson, followed by an inspiring address by Ts. Dr. Kang Chia Chao, the Head of Programme, who shared motivational insights on academic perseverance and passion for engineering. His words resonated with the audience and set a positive tone for the rest of the evening.

Following the speeches, the event continued with a series of interactive activities, including team-based games, stage performances, and a lucky draw session. These activities encouraged active participation from both new and senior students, creating a lively and engaging atmosphere.

The event successfully fostered a spirit of unity, inclusiveness, and enthusiasm among participants, while also leaving a positive impression on the new students, making it a remarkable start to the academic year for the XMUM's EEE community.
