XMUM Students Join Research Exchange Programme at Tokyo University of Science
SEPANG: During the festive season of Chinese New Year, five students from New Energy Science and Engineering Programme, Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) went to Japan for a research exchange program funded by the Sakura Science Plan (SSP).Initiated by Japanese government in 2014, SSP aims to strengthen the bonds between Japan and other countries as well as globalize Japanese education by exchanging ideas in the field of science and technology.
XMU Offers Study and Research Opportunities in Energy and Chemical Engineering
From 17 to 20 December 2019, Prof. Ren Bin, Deputy Dean of College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Xiamen University (XMU) paid a visit to Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM), to share postgraduate information and research opportunities with students and faculty from School of Energy and Chemical Engineering, XMUM.
Chemical Engineering Students Conduct 3-Month Research Stay at XMU
19 students from the Chemical Engineering Programme of Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) have recently finished a 3-month research stay at Xiamen University (XMU), during which they worked closely with faculty members, PhD and Master students in research laboratories at XMU Xiang’an Campus.

Dr. Yong Wai Fen Attends 2019 Green Talents Networking Conference
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yong Wai Fen from School of Energy and Chemical Engineering was selected to participate in the Networking Conference on behalf of Malaysia and XMUM, which was held in honour of the 10th anniversary of the Green Talents Competition in Berlin. Dr. Yong was one of the 50 outstanding Green Talents alumni from around the globe who was selected by the special jury to participate in the conference.
Chemical Engineering Students Learn More about Palm Oil Industry
The 4th IChemE Palm Oil Processing Special Interest Group (POPSIG) University Roadshow was successfully organized by XMUM IChemE Student Chapter on 6 November 2019 in conjunction with Love my Palm Oil campaign. A program initiated by IChemE POPSIG and Malaysian Palm Oil Council (MPOC), it aims to enable knowledge transfer, exchange of best practices and sharing experience to all that are interested in the palm oil industry.
