Dr. Andrew Ng Kay Lup Invited to Become a Mentor for Green Talents 2021 Programme

Research Management Center congratulates Dr. Andrew Ng Kay Lup from Department of Chemical Engineering, XMUM School of New Energy and Chemical Engineering, for being invited to become a mentor for Green Talent 2021 programme.

Hosted by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research, Green Talents Award honours young researchers from a variety of countries and scientific disciplines for their achievements and efforts to making their communities, countries and societies more sustainable. This programme offers new Green Talent Awardees a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the “Green Talents Network” and to better equip themselves to contribute towards the sustainable developmental goals.

In this programme, as a mentor, Dr. Andrew will share his knowledge in the field of sustainable development to his mentee and exchange ideas during the virtual Science Forum, expert meetings and research stays.

Dr. Andrew Ng Kay Lup currently serves as a Lecturer at XMUM School of Energy and Chemical Engineering. His current research focuses on energy conversion and storage materials and applications. He is recipient of the Green Talents 2019, ASEAN-China Young Leaders Scholarship (ACYLS) 2020 and 2021 awards. 
He provides engineering consultancies to Central Sugar Refinery and Agridon Technologies and serves as the review editor for Catalytic Reactions and Chemistry section and Photocatalysis & Related Photochemistry section of Frontiers in Chemistry. He is elected as the working committee of Institute of Materials Malaysia (IMM) National Materials Lecture Competition. He is also elected as the technical committee of IChemE Technology Transfer Scoping Project and post-publication book reviewer for IChemE TCE.
