The Research Management Center congratulates Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sayyed Mahdi Ziaei from XMUM School of Economics and Management for publishing an article in Renewable Energy, a SCI Tier-1 journal with an impact factor of 8.001.

Entitled “The impacts of household social benefits, public expenditure on labour markets, and household financial assets on the renewable energy sector”, this paper analyses the impacts of social benefits to households, public spending on labour markets, and household financial assets on the supply of renewable energy for selected Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) countries from 1995 to 2017.

The findings confirm the importance of current active labour market policies on the energy market. However, the effects of household financial assets on the energy market are not pronounced, while the positive changes in household social benefits have a negative impact on renewable energy in the short run.

Sayyed Mahdi Ziaei is an Associate Professor of Financial Economics at School of Economics and Management, Xiamen University of Malaysia. He received his Ph.D. in Economics from Universiti Putra Malaysia in 2011. Much of his research over the years has focused on monetary and fiscal studies, Financial Economics as well as energy Economics. He has published more than 35 papers in SSCI, ABS, and/or ABDC listed Journals.
