China’s New Ambassador to Malaysia Visits XMUM
Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) is a monument in history, and it has a really bright future, said China's new ambassador to Malaysia Bai Tian on Jan 9, 2018.Ambassador Bai Tian made the remark during a meeting with Prof. Wang Ruifang, the President of Xiamen University Malaysia. This is less than 2 months after Ambassador Bai assumed his position in last November.
Top Chinese and Malaysian Universities Shared Insights on Cooperative Education at XMUM
Twenty-two senior university management personnel from 13 top universities in Malaysia and China gathered at Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) on Jan 5, 2018, to participate in the “Workshop on the Opportunities and Challenges of Cooperative Education under the Backdrop of the Belt and Road Initiative”. Two representatives from Chinese Embassy in Malaysia, Director of Cultural Office Mr. Zhang Jiexin and Ms. Wang Shuang, also attended the event.
Journalism Student Wins Top 10 Best Photos in BMW Shorties Vision Contest
Bommy Tan Jun Bo, a Journalism student of XMUM, won Top 10 Top 10 Best Photos in BMW Shorties Vision Contest. His photo was printed out and showcased during BMW Shorties Short Film Festival in Dec 2017.The title of his photo is “Thousand Miles with a Single Step”. It was taken at Kowloon, Hong Kong in 2016.
Professor Dr Huang Nay Ming Received the 2016 Malaysia’s Rising Star Award
The Office of Research and Innovation congratulates Professor Dr Huang Nay Ming of the New Energy Science and Engineering Programme, Xiamen University Malaysia, on receiving the 2016 Malaysia’s Rising Star Award (MRSA), presented by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE), in partnership with Clarivate Analytics. MRSA is awarded to a select group of influential Malaysian researchers for their significant contributions to global science.
XMUM Journalism Students Venture ‘Beyond the Classroom’ to The Star Headquarters

XMUM Humanities Forum #2 - Global Huayu and Malaysia
