The Office of Research and Innovation congratulates Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zhang Ying as one of the corresponding authors of a paper entitled “Reduced graphene oxide coated porous carbon–sulfur nanofiber as a flexible paper electrode for lithium–sulfur batteries” in Nanoscale, a tier-1 SCI journal in Engineering. XMUM Welcomed the Largest Intake of Foreign Students
XMUM welcomed the largest intake of foreign students since its inception.Students from 20 provinces in China have arrived in Malaysia to embark on their academic journey at this new campus. The number of students stands at 481 currently with around 50 more to come by the end of this week.

Application for Registration Officially Approved
Xiamen University Malaysia Campus has officially been awarded with Approval of Registration by the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia (MOHE) on 13th November, 2015.Section 1 in Phase 1 of our campus construction, including one student activity center and one hostel, has been completed this October, intending to meet the needs of the first batch of students.

One-Stop Language Hub to Facilitate Language Learning
With the belief that effective learning transcends classroom walls, a one-stop language hub has been set up by the English Language division of Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) to provide an informal platform for students to interact freely with others and receive intensive language training and personalised coaching on language-related matters.Apart from the casual English-learning environment, the language hub also provides a wide range of English books, audio-visual materials, novels, newspapers and magazines for students to unwind after hours of lectures and tutorials.
