One-Stop Language Hub to Facilitate Language Learning
With the belief that effective learning transcends classroom walls, a one-stop language hub has been set up by the English Language division of Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) to provide an informal platform for students to interact freely with others and receive intensive language training and personalised coaching on language-related matters.Apart from the casual English-learning environment, the language hub also provides a wide range of English books, audio-visual materials, novels, newspapers and magazines for students to unwind after hours of lectures and tutorials.

XMUM Welcomed 739 Students in 2017 April Intake
From 13 April to 15 April, Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) welcomed 739 students into its bachelor degree and foundation programmes. The 2017 April intake consists of 345 students of bachelor degree programmes, including 202 progressing students from XMUM’s own foundation programmes, and 395 foundation programme students. With this new batch of students, the student number of XMUM increased to 1,900.
XMUM Conducts Fire Drill to Strengthen Campus Safety
Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) is committed to comply with fire safety regulation, which requires that premises used as workplace must have fire safety arrangements in place. In compliance with this, a fire drill was conducted in the afternoon of 16 May 2017 at A5 Building of XMUM.
XMU Advances Rapidly in QS Asia University Rankings
Xiamen University (XMU) made great progress in the 2015 QS Asia University Rankings, moving up 10 places to 76th among all Asia universities, up 4 places to 16th in China. The advance of the academic standing of XMU can be credited to the improvement in the following key indicators: academic reputation, citations per paper, and international faculty. Academic reputation, which represents the perceptions of academics from around the world as to the best institutions in terms of research, positions XMU 14th among universities in China, 65th all over Asia.
