XMUM received a courtesy visit from Sunway University on 2 June 2023, with the aim of promoting knowledge sharing in engineering programmes between institutions.

The visit was led by Prof. Ir. Dr. Denny Ng, Dean of the School of Engineering and Technology, Sunway University. Among other delegates who attended the visit included Assoc. Prof. Ir. Dr Matthew Teow, Program Leader of Electronic and Electrical Engineering, and Ms. Linda Tan, the Director of Facilities Services at Sunway Education Group. 

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ong Wee Jun, Assistant Dean of XMUM School of Energy and Chemical Engineering, provided a lab tour at the Department of Chemical Engineering and Electronic and Electrical Engineering. 

Last year, XMUM signed an MoU with Sunway University during the First International Conference on Emerging Materials for Sustainable Energy and Environment (EMSEE2022), to strengthen the collaboration between both institutions in terms of research, academics, and networking.
