TCM Interns Engage in Cultural Exploration and Outdoor Activity with XMU Longyan TCM Hospital
On 31 October 2024, interns from School of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Xiamen University Malaysia participated in a cultural exploration and outdoor activity organized by the Xiamen University Affiliated Longyan Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Hospital. With the theme “Enhancing Knowledge for Growth, Growing through Action,” the event aimed to enrich the interns’ cultural understanding and personal growth.
The interns began with a visit to the Longyan Museum, where they explored the history and folklore of Western Fujian (Minxi) culture, with a focus on traditional crafts and folk arts in the intangible cultural heritage section. Following this, they enjoyed a scenic walk at Longjin Lake Park, taking in the fresh air and relaxing together while building friendships.
his event combined cultural experience with wellness, offering the interns a deeper appreciation of Longyan’s unique local charm. The interns expressed sincere gratitude to the Longyan TCM Hospital, as this experience allowed them to feel welcomed and connected to the local culture during their time in China.
