XMUM Team Brings Home Silver & Bronze Awards at Asia Youth Innovation Competition 2023
A team from Xiamen University Malaysia won Bronze Award and Silver Award in the Asia Youth Innovation Competition 2023, under the category “Industrial and Product Design, Web Interface Design & Printing Technology”.The Asian Youth Innovation Awards were launched in 2014 by Malaysia Technology Expo, one of the region’s most recognised and respected international invention exhibitions, with the aims to nurture, develop, and encourage youth engagement in Science, Technology, and Innovation.

XMUM Signs MOU with Asia Aquaculture (M) on Research and Talent Development
Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Asia Aquaculture (M) Sdn Bhd - a company under Charoen Pokphand Malaysia - on 7 March 2023, to initiate collaboration on research and talent development.The MOU was signed by Mr. Weerawut Hiranmateekul, the Director of Asia Aquaculture (M) Sdn Bhd and Prof. Wang Ruifang, the President of XMUM.

The delegation from Intellectual Property and Innovation Research Center, Xiamen University Malaysia (IPIRC) and Xiamen University Intellectual Property Research Institute (IPRI), led by IPIRC Director, Professor Long Xiaoning and IPRI Dean, Professor Lin Xiuqin, visited the Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCCIM). The Deputy Secretary-General I of ACCCIM, Mr. Michael Chai Woon Chew, the ACCCIM National Council Member, Mr. Boo Chin Liong, and the ACCCIM representative for the IIC Malaysia, Mr. Tai Foong Lam hosted the delegation at the welcome meeting.
