Prof. Dai Minhan Donates RMB 200,000 to China-ASEAN College of Marine Sciences
In a remarkable gesture of support for ocean science research and education, Prof. Dai Minhan, an Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chair Professor at Xiamen University (XMU), and Chairman of the International Planning Advisory Committee of the China-ASEAN College of Marine Sciences (CAMS) at Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM), has donated RMB 200,000 (approximately USD 28,380) to CAMS.

In the realm of new energy, while energy harvesting technologies like solar, wind, hydro, and triboelectricity play crucial roles in addressing the global energy crisis, energy storage systems (ESSs) are equally important in preserving and efficiently distributing harvested energy to minimize wastage. Supercapacitors, with their simple production process, low safety risks, and excellent longevity, are promising ESSs, especially in line with the trend of portable electronic devices.

The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre congratulates 12 teams from the School of Communication for receiving prizes at the 16th China Advertising Art Design Competition for College Students.Among them, a team of 3 students - Zhao Zheyu, Li Boning, and Xu Zihan – earned the National Excellent Prize award. The Research and Postgraduate Centre congratulates Sim Xue Yan, Asst. Prof. Dr. Tan Jian Ping, from the School of Energy and Chemical Engineering, Prof. Dr. Yeap Swee Keong and Dr. Erik Hui Yew Woh from the China-ASEAN College of Marine Sciences (CAMS) for publishing their research in Ultrasonics Sonochemistry. Ultrasonics Sonochemistry is an SCI Q1 journal dedicated to publishing quality research articles on chemical reactions and reactors induced by ultrasonic waves, with an impact factor of 8.7.
