XMUM Wins Gold Award in International Invention and Innovate Competition
A team from Department of Information and Communications Technology (ICT), Xiamen University Malaysia won the Gold Award in the International Invention and Innovate Competition (INIIC Series 2/2021), with their project "Constructive House Building: A Hand Gesture Based Game for Improving Children's Fine Motor Skill using Leap Motion Controller".

For the third consecutive year (2019, 2020 and 2021), Associate Professor Dr. Ong Wee Jun from XMUM School of Energy and Chemical Engineering has been named Clarivate Highly Cited Researcher for the cross-field category.

The Award Ceremony of 2020 Chinese Ambassador Scholarship was held online on 18 November 2021. H.E. Ouyang Yujing, the Chinese Ambassador to Malaysia, virtually awarded the scholarship to 30 outstanding XMUM students.
CME Students Wins 5th Place at Chem-E Car Presentation Competition 2021
Innovation Center congratulates the penultimate year students Ee Jin An and Jocelyn Lim Jean Yi from School of Energy and Chemical Engineering for winning the fifth place at the International IEM Chem-E Car Online Presentation Competition 2021. The team of two was supervised by Dr. Yee Kian Fei and Dr. Andrew Ng Kay Lup from XMUM School of Energy and Chemical Engineering.
NESE Students Publish in Nano Energy, a High-Impact SCI Tier 1 Journal
The Research Management Center congratulates Cheong Jian Ye and Jason Koay Soon Chye from New Energy Science and Engineering Programme (NESE), XMUM School of Energy and Chemical Engineering, for publishing a research article entitled “Maximizing the Output Power Density Enhancement of Solid Polymer Electrolyte Based-Triboelectric Nanogenerators via Contact Electrification-Induced Ionic Polarization” as co-first authors.
