XMUM Students Shine at China National Advertising Competition
The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre congratulates undergraduate students from the School of Communication (SOC) at Xiamen University Malaysia for winning seven awards at the 17th National Advertising Art Design Competition for College Students (Fujian Division), China.The standout achievement was a First Prize in the print advertising category, awarded to the collaborative work by Luo Yuxin (Advertising) and Zhu Shengying (Communication).
XMUM Researchers Publish Critical Review on Green Solvents in Green Chemistry
A critical review article by Prof. Ir. Dr. Yong Wai Fen, Master's student Voon Boon Kee, and undergraduate student Yap Yen Juin from the School of Energy and Chemical Engineering, Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM), has been published in Green Chemistry, a peer-reviewed journal by the Royal Society of Chemistry (Impact Factor: 9.2, SCIE Q1).
XMUM Undergraduate Leads Research on AI Traffic Sign Detection Model
A research paper co-authored by Prof. Zhang Yingqian and undergraduate student Ouyang Yifan from the School of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics at Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) has been published in Signal, Image and Video Processing, a peer-reviewed journal by Springer that focuses on signal processing, image analysis, and video technologies.
XMUM Researchers Develop AI Model to Spot Deception
Prof. Zhang Yingqian from the School of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics at Xiamen University Malaysia, together with undergraduate student Zhou Chucheng (first author) and collaborators, recently published a research article in Scientific Reports, a peer-reviewed journal under the Nature Portfolio (SCI, JCR Q1, 2025 Impact Factor: 3.9).
XMUM Team Wins Awards at International Process Control Competition 2025
A team of undergraduate students from the School of Energy and Chemical Engineering (SECE), Xiamen University Malaysia, achieved notable success at the International Process Control Competition 2025 (IPCC 2025), held at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) from 22 to 24 August.Team members Sim Jian Hao, Wong Yu Xin, Ng Wei Kang, and Tan Willy, under the guidance of Assistant Professor Dr. Noraini binti Mohd, secured the Second Runner-Up and Best Innovation Awards after an intensive 48-hour hackathon.
