Going Beyond – Training & Summer Camps
One of our initiatives includes engaging with the community and enhancing the centre’s visibility and viability through close collaboration with local and global institutions. As the leader in English language training and education, our centre actively reaches out to the community through our fun and affordable English workshops for individuals and groups, and summer camps for local and foreign students.
International Collaborations and Testing
Since our inception, ELEC has made significant strides, and has bagged Platinum and Gold awards in testing collaborations. We are the authorized test partner and centre for major English competency tests, including:
- IELTS, UKVI Academic (International English Language Testing System)
- Cambridge Linguaskill
- MUET (Malaysian University Entrance Test)
- MUET-on-Demand (MoD)
- PTE (Pearson Test of English
The English Lounge
This is the ultimate one-stop hub for everything English. It is a cozy and comfortable space for students to unwind after a stream of lectures. Students enjoy snuggling in the spongy beanbags, sometimes to read and ponder, or just to chat and learn English in an informal setting. It is a safe space where you will not be judged or assessed. Managed by senior students, the lounge reflects an international ambience and mirrors the growing international population in the university. It is the place where real conversations, real voices and real friendships happen, and most of all, where language comes abuzz.
