Dr. Andrew Ng Kay Lup Receives ACYLS 2020 Award
The Office of Research Management congratulates Dr. Andrew Ng Kay Lup from School of Energy and Chemical Engineering for being chosen as the recipient of the ASEAN China Young Leaders Scholarship (ACYLS) 2020 Award.The ACYLS award is an initiative funded by the Chinese government to honour researchers and scientists for their commendable contributions to ASEAN member states. Each year, 20 professionals or researchers from ASEAN member states will be honoured by the award, in order to promote academic and vocational exchanges between China and ASEAN.
Dr. Yong Wai Fen and CME Student Publish in Top Journal (Progress in Materials Science)
Research Management Center congratulates Associate Prof. Dr. Yong Wai Fen from School of Energy and Chemical Engineering, Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) on publishing a review article entitled “Recent Advances in Polymer Blend Membranes for Gas Separation and Pervaporation” in Progress in Materials Science as the first and the corresponding author. Progress in Materials Science is a peer reviewed Q1 journal with an impact factor of 31.560 and ranks as the Top 1 journal in Materials Science category.
XMUM Co-Organized Malaysia-China University-Industry Matching Forum
On April 30, XMUM Research Management Center and Innovation Center jointly organized a University-Industry Matching Forum together with TusStar Malaysia. Three Chinese enterprises focusing on new energy and chemical engineering participated as presenters.
Chemical Engineering Undergraduate Publishes in Angewandte Chemie as First Author
Research Management Center congratulates undergraduate student Zhang Wenhao and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ong Wee Jun, both from XMUM Chemical Engineering Programme, School of Energy and Chemical Engineering, on their success in publishing the review entitled “Z-Scheme Photocatalytic Systems for Carbon Dioxide Reduction: Where Are We Now?”, as the first author and the corresponding author respectively, in Angewandte Chemie International Edition.
XMUM Students Join Research Exchange Programme at Tokyo University of Science
SEPANG: During the festive season of Chinese New Year, five students from New Energy Science and Engineering Programme, Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) went to Japan for a research exchange program funded by the Sakura Science Plan (SSP).Initiated by Japanese government in 2014, SSP aims to strengthen the bonds between Japan and other countries as well as globalize Japanese education by exchanging ideas in the field of science and technology.
