Three undergraduate students from XMUM School of Energy and Chemical Engineering attended “Malaysian Tropical Educational Experience (MyTREE)”, a summer school project organized by Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), from 16 to 27 August 2021.

This Summer School offered opportunities for international students to participate in a range of multi-disciplinary courses and multicultural programs. All the three XMUM participants - Shams Mohamed Hanafi Alsokkary, Ee Zhi Yin, and Li Shen - received full or partial scholarships from the organizer due to their excellent academic performance. 

34 participants from Japan, China and Malaysia joined this 10-day project. With the theme of “Accelerating Green Development in Asia”, various low-carbon actions to leapfrog the green growth in Asia were discussed in the forms of lectures, tours, group discussions and oral presentations.
