School of Energy and Chemical Engineering Celebrates Outstanding Academic Achievements of Students at SECE Award Ceremony
The School of Energy and Chemical Engineering (SECE) has held its Dean’s List, Final Year Project, and Capstone Project Award Ceremony for the 2022/09 semester on 18 April 2023, to recognize the academic achievements of undergraduate students from the New Energy Science and Engineering and Chemical Engineering programmes.
Dr. Ong Wee Jun Awarded 2022 Most Cited Chinese Researchers by Elsevier
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ong Wee Jun from School of Energy and Chemical Engineering, Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) was named 2022 Most Cited Chinese Researchers by Elsevier, for his exceptional research performance in the field of chemistry.He entered the list with a publication of 125, a total citation of over 17,000, and an H-index of 56.

The Research and Postgraduate Centre congratulates Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Vincent Woon Kok Sin and Phuang Zhen Xin from the School of Energy and Chemical Engineering for their recent review article published in Energy, an SCI Q1 journal with the latest impact factor of 8.857.
Dr. Ong Wee Jun Named Highly Cited Researcher 2022 by Clarivate
Recently, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ong Wee Jun, the Assistant Dean of School of Energy and Chemical Engineering and Director of Center of Excellence for NaNo Energy & Catalysis Technology (CONNECT), Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM), was named Highly Cited Researchers 2022 (Cross-field Category) by Clarivate.
NESE Postgraduate Student Wins First Prize at IChemE Food and Drink SIG (Malaysia Chapter) Poster Competition
The Research and Postgraduate Centre congratulates Chew Zhi Ling, a master’s student from the New Energy Science and Engineering programme, on winning the 1st Prize at the IChemE Malaysia Food & Drink Special Interest Group (SIG) poster competition with a cash prize of RM 650. Chew Zhi Ling is working on food waste valorization under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Kua Yin Leng from XMUM School of Energy and Chemical Engineering.
