Dr. Yang Chia Yen Publishes in Telematics and Informatics
The Research and Postgraduate Centre congratulates Dr. Yang Chia Yen from School of Economics and Management for her recent research article published in Telematics and Informatics, a SSCI Q1 journal with impact factor of 7.6 (based on Journal Citation Report 2023). According to Clarivate (Web of Science), Telematics and Informatics ranks among the top 4% of journals (6/161) in the information science and library science category.
XMUM Team Named 1st Runner-Up at Eastspring Business Challenge 2025
The XMUM Alpha Team from the School of Economics and Management was named 1st Runner-Up in the prestigious Eastspring Business Challenge 2025, held on 26 April at Level 22, Menara Prudential, TRX. The event gathered students from over 60 universities across the region to pitch innovative strategies for recruiting young unit trust consultants for Eastspring Investments.

Dr. Faizah Shahudin: My Greatest Asset is My Students
Dr. Faizah Shahudin is the Deputy Head of the International Business programme at Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM), and a founding member of the School of Economics and Management. Since joining XMUM in 2016 as a part-time lecturer, she has earned widespread recognition for her engaging teaching style and dedication, making her known among students as the warmest lecturer.

Shi Xiang, however, has built his career by taking unexpected turns.From studying clinical medicine at Sun Yat-sen University to pursuing finance at Lingnan College, and later earning a PhD in Economics from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), Shi Xiang has transitioned from wielding a surgical knife to exploring the intricacies of societal systems.
