XMUM Faculty Member Publishes in Tier-1 SCI Journal of Electrochemistry
The Office of Research and Innovation congratulates Prof. Dr. Zheng Jin-Cheng on his role as joint corresponding author of a paper entitled “Porous carbon anchored titanium carbonitride for high-performance supercapacitor.” The paper was published on 1 March 2019 (Page 138-145, Volume 304) in Electrochimica Acta, the official journal of the International Society of Electrochemistry. Prof. Zheng co-authored the paper with 8 other scientists affiliated with Shanghai University, Xiamen University (China), and Xiamen University Malaysia. This project was led by Assoc. Prof. Yan Hao, Assoc.

Ir. Dr. Wong Shen Yuong Wins Best Presenter Award at IEEE Conference
The Office of Research and Innovation congratulates Assistant Professor Ir. Dr. Wong Shen Yuong, from Electrical and Electronic Engineering Programme, on winning the “Best Presenter Award” at the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Conference on Systems, Process and Control (Malaysia Section). Ir. Dr. Wong impressed the Judging Committee made up of 8 panels from the Organizing Committees when she presented her research paper entitled “Hybrid Genetic Algorithm Based Fuzzy Inference System for Data Regression” on 15 December 2018.

XMUM Undergraduate Student Co-Authors Research Publication
The Office of Research and Innovation congratulates Prof. Dr. Ong Chong Kim and Assistant Professor Dr. Kelvin Ooi Jian Aun of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) programme for their success in mentoring second year XMUM undergraduate student, Zhai Qingwei, to contribute positively to their invited research paper entitled “Nonlinear Plasmonics of Three-Dimensional Dirac Semimetals” which was published in journal APL Photonics on 11 December 2018. This paper was co-authored by 5 scientists and one XMUM undergraduate student.
