WISE & SOE of Xiamen University Share Info on Postgraduate Studies
On 7 December 2018, Wang Yanan Institute for Studies in Economics (WISE) and School of Economics (SoE), Xiamen University China visited Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM), and shared information on postgraduate studies opportunities with XMUM students.
XMUM and China Construction Bank Sign MOU on Training and Internships
On 1 December 2018, Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) signed an MOU with China Construction Bank (Malaysia) Berhad to facilitate cooperation and explore opportunities on educational programmes, training and internships.The MOU was signed by Prof. Wang Ruifang, President of XMUM, and Mr. Felix Feng Qi, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of China Construction Bank (Malaysia). The signing ceremony was witnessed by Mr. Zhang Gengsheng, Executive Vice President of China Construction Bank, who came to Malaysia from China for this special occasion.
Xiamen University Malaysia Signs MOUs with 6 Industry-Leading Companies
Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) has signed Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with 6 industry-leading companies on 3 December 2018, to provide internship and employment opportunities for XMUM students and to explore new modes of win-win cooperation between university and industry. The companies took part in the signing ceremony include Deloitte, Infopro, MTCM Hub, Mythmedix TCM, Top Glove and Xinyi Energy Smart.
University of Sydney Representatives Share Postgraduate Application Information
On 27 November 2018, representatives from University of Sydney - including Dr. Josiah Poon, International Director of School of Computer Science, and Dr. John Kavanagh, Deputy Head of School of Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering - gave a talk on postgraduate programme application to XMUM students.Some of the information shared during the talk are:
Planting for a Greener and Better Campus
1176 trees and 3080 shrubs were planted in Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) on 11 Nov 2018, adding of greenery and vibrancy to the campus. YB Tan Kok Wai, Malaysian Prime Minister’s Special Envoy to China, launched the Eco-Green Awareness Campaign as the guest of honor and remarked on the importance of the event.“Tree planting helps to restore greenery and beautify homes.”
Indonesian High School Students Explore Campus Life at XMUM
A group of Indonesian high school students and parents, mainly from Tangerang, Gading Serpong, and Jakarta, had an insightful glimpse of campus life when they visited Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) on 8 November 2018.
