Innovation Achievements of XMUM Undergraduate Students
As innovation and creativity are fundamental to all academic disciplines and educational activities, Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) encourages students to participate in competitions and values their creative and innovative contributions. Since 2016, XMUM students have participated in more than 20 local, regional and international competitions, and have taken home over 55 prizes and awards marking individual and team success.
Research Achievements of XMUM Students
To date, 48 undergraduate students of Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) have published a total of 28 papers in SCI journals, including 24 papers in journals of the first quartile (Q1). 14 of these papers have XMUM undergraduates as the first author. This has demonstrated their strong writing skills, hardwork, independence, intellectual curiosity and strong motivation. Congratulations to the students and the faculty members who mentored them in the process of research and paper writing!

During the past five years, Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) has made remarkable progress in developing a thriving research culture and fostering professional excellence. To celebrate the Centenary of Xiamen University (XMU) and the 5th Anniversary of Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM), an Unveiling Ceremony for XMU Anthem Stone was held at the lakeside of XMUM in the morning of 3 April 2021.
XMU Celebrates its Century of Progress in Nature
As a part of the Centenary Celebration of Xiamen University (XMU), an advertisement feature highlighting the scientific achievements of XMU was published in the world-renowned scientific journal Nature.Founded in 1921 by Mr. Tan Kah Kee, an overseas Chinese philanthropist, XMU has since developed a culture of innovation and openness. This special feature in Nature showcases XMU’s century-long development, celebrating its key research achievements across various academic fields.
Dr. Wang Changsong Wins Best Paper Award at International Communications Conference
The Research Management Center congratulates Associate Professor Dr. Wang Changsong on winning the Best Paper Award at the AICCON (ASPIKOM International Communications Conference 2021), for co-authoring the paper entitled “Elaboration Likelihood of Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard Digital Payment Brand Awareness”.
